George Floyd & Protests

Wisconsin Bishops’ Statement on George Floyd and Protests
Bishop Callahan and his brother bishops of the Wisconsin Catholic Conference have issued a
statement addressing the brutal killing of George Floyd and the following protests. You can read
it at diolc.org/racism. Their statement provides a link to the US Bishops’ pastoral letter against
racism, Open Wide our Hearts, which they recommend studying in parishes. It is relevant to our
attitudes toward all minorities, including the black, Latino and Hmong communities in our
midst.
